More funding on the way for trapping groups
A pest-control funding trial that gave community groups better access to vital resources was so successful in 2025 it’s coming back later this year. The Small Scale Community Initiatives Hub Fund helped nine groups across Central and South Waikato by providing more than 320 traps, 1.5 tonnes of lure, pest plant control supplies, monitoring equipment, and other essential resources.
