Join Us — Volunteer with Go Eco

At Go Eco, we’re building healthy environments and thriving communities across Waikato. As a charitable trust and environmental hub, we advocate for sustainable systems, support community-led projects, and create spaces where people can learn, act and make a difference together.

Whether you’re passionate about food rescue, biodiversity, climate action, urban growing, waste reduction, or community education, your time and skills have a real place here. From hands-on roles like food rescue drivers and restoration support to helping with events, facilitation, and community engagement, volunteers power the work that strengthens our region’s environmental and social wellbeing.

Why volunteer with us?

  • Make impact locally — support projects that reduce waste, protect habitats, and strengthen local food systems

  • Build skills and connections — work alongside experienced changemakers and community leaders

  • Learn and grow — gain practical experience in restoration, advocacy, education, and sustainable living

Volunteering with Go Eco is flexible, welcoming, and purpose-driven. Whether you can give a few hours occasionally or want to be more regularly involved, your contribution matters. To see current volunteer opportunities and get involved, find Go Eco on the Volunteering Waikato platform.
