Wai Connect Regional Catchment Hui

The development of a regional catchment hub was voted a top priority at the last two annual Waikato catchment huis.

The concept of Te Korowai Taiao was put forward - a regional-level super hub supported by sub-provincial clusters, that would address the need to centralise coordination and communication among the groups, and start to build the long-term capacity of catchment communities across our rohe.

This year’s hui is focused on refining this concept:

• What mechanisms could be used to coordinate the work of catchment groups?

• What’s the best way to connect the various groups and agencies?

• How should the groups share data?
