Trees and their Bark by John and Bunny Mortimer
Using over 270 photos taken in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Turkey, John and Bunny Mortimer show the wonderful range of colours and textures of bark from a selection of trees growing in temperate and sub-temperate climates. With 30,000 words, they tell the history of trees, how specimens were discovered and what they were used for. It's an informal approach making an informative and entertaining publication, sprinkled with a little whimsy, some poetry and less publicised anecdotes.
