Join us for some kai and chat to celebrate the launch of the Plastic-free July challenge.
Wednesday 5 July at 6-8pm
At the Waikato Environment Centre, 242 Peachgrove Road, Hamilton, New Zealand
If you like, you can check out our event page and let us know if you are coming: https://www.facebook.com/event...
We strive to avoid single-use plastic, where possible. It isn't always easy, and sometimes we have to make compromises. Every July, we make an extra effort to get by without buying or using products that come in or with single-use plastic.
To kick off the challenge, we are inviting you to come to our potluck event. In addition to sharing some kai, Tania is going to show and tell about her Plastic Free Kete: her toolkit that helps her get by with almost no single-use plastic.
1. Bring along a plate of food that you have made in a way that avoids the use of plastic when making it. We understand that sometimes plastic is unavoidable, so
2. Bring along any plastic that you couldn't avoid, like plastic packaging that some ingredient was wrapped in, for example.
We have very limited facilities so please bring food that is prepared (and pre-heated if it must be eaten warm) in advance. We'll provide some refreshments.
To make sure we have enough refreshments and seats, it would be helpful if you could let us know you are coming either by indicating you are coming on this event page, or letting Kelli know at firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope to see you there.
